4. Vic Beasley, Edge
Best Fit: Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs will attempt to spark their pass rush with some creativity. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo plans to use Chris Jones on the edge and on the inside. The unit may have to play some games without Frank Clark, who was arrested for felony illegal possession of a firearm Sunday, per TMZ Sports.
With Jones set to learn a new position and Clark going through the legal process, the Chiefs should explore veteran options at defensive end. Beasley isn’t a lead pass-rusher, but he can possibly help Kansas City’s unit in a pinch for a short period.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are no stranger to linemen with durability concerns. While this front office will certainly weigh that risk, especially in light of the David DeCastro release, Schwartz is a player worth gambling on for a team in win-now mode.
Entering training camp, Pittsburgh has just one returning starter on its offensive line and the entire group leaves a lot to be desired. Ben Roethlisberger really declined as he racked up the hits late in the 2020 season. Just as problematic, the Steelers’ offense was forced to resort to a short, quick passing game just to keep Big Ben upright.
Schwartz has never played left tackle in his career and Pittsburgh should play him where he’s comfortable. The 32-year-old’s resume speaks for itself, with multiple All-Pro selections prior to 2020. Adding Trai Turner is a solid move, but signing Schwartz would give us a lot more confidence in this offense in the fall.

7. Arrowhead Stadium
It’s an outdoor venue, it’s grass, it’s a simple video board, but the fans make Arrowhead Stadium come alive — whether it’s being raucous and proud during the game, or tailgating at a world class level in the parking lot beforehand.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Chiefs fans roared to a level of 142.2 dbA on Sept. 29, 2014, when Kansas City rocked the New England Patriots 41-14 on Monday Night Football. No wonder Bill Belichick was on to Cincinnati.

Each team had representation from at least an owner, president, general manager or head coach during the three-day events. Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid spoke Tuesday and answered questions from aspiring head coaches.
Bieniemy took questions from attendees Wednesday following a recorded session featuring him and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Bieniemy has been the coordinator of one of the league’s most prolific offenses, but hasn’t received a promotion despite several interviews over the past three years.
Many point to the failure of teams to hire him as emblematic of a major problem for a league that preaches diversity but has only three Black head coaches.
“We all realize the important thing about coaching in this league is winning and having the best candidate,” said James “Shack” Harris, who was 18-4 as a starting quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams in 1974-75. “And what we all are saying is some of the best candidates are some of the coaches that are here. When you look at Eric Bieniemy, I was listening very closely. For Eric not getting a job and for people to say something about the interview, I just don’t see it. He’s an impressive individual, he’s winning.”

One month after calling the Green Bay Packers’ handling of the Aaron Rodgers situation “inexcusable,” retired quarterback Alex Smith expanded on those comments.
“Clearly it’s not an ideal situation,” Smith told USA Today’s Jori Epstein. “Here’s a guy that’s given 16 years to an organization. He’s been through a lot of changes there as well. He’s coming off maybe one of the greatest quarterback seasons ever and still playing at an incredibly high level. You rewind to a year ago and all the talk was, ‘Is Aaron done? Is he on the decline?’ He played right through that. ”They’ve been on the doorstep of the Super Bowl the last couple years, and so I think it’s hard. From the outside, we don’t know all the details of what went on. There’s certainly been some changes in that front office. Aaron has been there for a long, long time. He’s a Hall of Fame player. I think he’s due a certain level of respect beyond the average player. I don’t think that’s asking a whole lot.”

The episode debuted on Friday, and there’s an important post-script to Brady’s remarks: It’s a team he wouldn’t have played for.
“When I look back I’m like, there’s no f–king way I would’ve went to that team,” Brady said. “But they said they didn’t want me. I know what that means, I know what that feels like. And I’m gonna go f - - k you up because of that.”

A pair of Miami Dolphins players showed up to help victims in Surfside, Florida, on Friday following the deadly condo collapse there Thursday morning.
Dolphins linebacker Jerome Baker and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle helped deliver water at a reunification center for families nearby on Friday afternoon.
The Dolphins players were just the latest professional athletes in South Florida to help out after the building collapse. Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro and a pair of assistant coaches showed up to help on Thursday, where they delivered and helped hand out supplies.

Marquise Goodwin’s pursuit of the Tokyo Olympics is over.
The Chicago Bears wide receiver participated in Friday’s long jump event at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon but failed to qualify for Sunday’s finals. Goodwin finished 19th out of 24 jumpers, with his best leap coming in at 24 feet 10 inches.
The silver lining for the veteran wideout is that he will not miss time with the Bears. After opting out of the 2020 season because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Goodwin signed with Chicago in April and participated in its offseason program. The 30-year-old speedster last appeared in an NFL game with the 49ers in 2019, catching 12 passes over nine games.

Seems like a long time ago he was getting accolades and winning trophies in Chicago. The QB guru has yet another QB mess on his hands. The decision to keep Justin Fields under wraps – despite just moving up to land him and despite him being the most talented QB on the roster – was predictable, and we’ll see if he can play well enough to save everyone’s job when he is allowed to take over under center. This seat has been hot for a while now, and the burner continues to be cranked up.

I believe the Chiefs defense needs to make a firm decision to have Sneed play the slot in their nickel defense — even if he plays as an outside cornerback in base formations. Sneed really did show a knack for blitzing — and in general, making tackles around the line of scrimmage. He needs to play around the box, so he can be a consistent threat off the edge and in the flat.
Another second-year player should see more opportunities. In 2020, linebacker Willie Gay Jr. had 26 snaps rushing the quarterback — compared to Niemann’s 98. Whether or not Niemann is the “safer option” for the coaching staff to put on the field, the Chiefs need more of Gay’s superior athleticism and playmaking ability.
