The Cincinnati Bengals might just be done with free agency until the front office sees how the draft plays out before evaluating the roster again.
But that doesn’t mean there aren’t good fits left on the market.
Take Rock Ya-Sin, a cornerback mentioned by Bleacher Report’s David Kenyon as a player who could still help the Bengals:
Knowing the level of quarterback talent in the AFC, it doesn’t hurt to have a deep group of cornerbacks. Cincinnati can probably lean on Chidobe Awuzie, Cam Taylor-Britt and Mike Hilton, but Rock Ya-Sin would really fortify the secondary. He’s been a quality corner for the last two years between the Indianapolis Colts and Las Vegas Raiders.
We’ve mentioned Ya-Sin as a veteran fit before because as a value signing, there’s a lot to like. He’s still going on just 27 years old, a former second-round pick and last year played well in Las Vegas.
The Bengals already added Sidney Jones as an outside boundary candidate with Eli Apple still a free agent. But another veteran cornerback to reinforce the position while Chidobe Awuzie still rehabs is a no-brainer of a move.
Luckily for the Bengals, adding Ya-Sin before the draft wouldn’t stop them from drafting the position. Waiting until after the draft to go for him might be totally viable, too.
