It sure seems like Ben Simmons will not be a member of the Philadelphia 76ers for much longer.
Is there a chance he ends up with the Warriors?
Well, the 76ers have engaged with teams on potential trade packages, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
"Those sources also say that teams that have engaged with the 76ers about Simmons have been met with a high price threshold for the three-time All-Star," Charania writes.
One source told Charania that Philly wants an "All-Star caliber player in return."
The Warriors obviously will not be trading Steph Curry to Philly, and it's very safe to assume they would not be willing to part ways with Draymond Green or Klay Thompson.
Which brings us to Andrew Wiggins.
He just completed the best all-around season of his career, and there's reason to believe he would fit nicely alongside Joel Embiid -- his former college teammate at Kansas.
But he almost assuredly isn't the "All-Star caliber player" 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey is looking for.

Perhaps the Warriors and 76ers would be able to involve a third team to help facilitate a deal that gives all parties what they want. But those transactions can be quite complicated.
"I believe the Golden State Warriors are going to make a push for Ben Simmons," ESPN's Stephen A. Smith said in late June. "So stay tuned. It's possible Ben Simmons could end up in Golden State with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
"I'm not saying it's gonna happen. But calls already have been made, things are percolating and it wouldn't surprise me at all if something like that ended up going down."
