The rapper also announced the forthcoming release of his new album DONDA with a Beats ad starring Sha’carri Richardson.

Kanye West made his grand return to Instagram on Tuesday night ahead of the release of his new album, DONDA, leaning into his identity as a fashion influencer by posting a fit pic.

The rapper returned to his social media account, which was wiped clean ahead of his latest post, to give fans a closer look at his outfit for the evening and two, new custom-designed necklaces inspired by his children. West started off by sharing five photos of his new gold chains that both feature the names of his four kids—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm—evenly spaced around the necklace. The layout of the piece bears a striking resemblance to a 13th Century monastic symbol for the Virgin Mary that the musician once tweeted out as the cover art for an album that he referred to at the time as “So Help Me God,” which ultimately became 2016’s The Life of Pablo.

He followed up those images of his new jewelry with one of him holding his black face mask-clad head in his hands, also covered in camouflage work gloves, and another of himself in a deep crouch atop two silver drums while almost completely obscured in darkness. To conclude his first post back on the platform, West shared a flat lay of his complete outfit for the evening. A look that included a black Bottega Veneta bomber jacket, black leather Saint Laurent pants, Nike socks, Chelsea boots, those aforementioned necklaces, as well as some additional silver rings and a bracelet, and his friend Rick Owens’s shield sunglasses. The fact that the rapper seems to currently be favoring two brands owned by luxury conglomerate Kering is also notable as his longtime friend and collaborator, Virgil Abloh, is currently an artistic director at that company’s biggest rival, LVMH.

West shared this post in tandem with the premiere of a Beats commercial which he also posted to his Instagram and which served as the first and only official announcement for his new album coming out on Friday. The spot, scored and edited by West, debuted during Game 6 of the NBA Finals and featured track star Sha’carri Richardson wearing the brand’s Beats Studio Buds while running to his new song “No Child Left Behind.” The ad also revealed that Apple Music will be hosting a special livestream listening event on Thursday at 8 PM ahead of the official album release. An event which will surely be accompanied by a whole new West fit pic.
