A Las Vegas presence and celebrity backdrop since 2011, Sugar Factory’s return to the mid-Strip now has an official timetable for an opening date.
Sugar Factory replaces the sports-lodge themed Twin Peaks breastaurant at the Harmon Corner retail center, and new plywood promises a debut by the end of the second quarter, ensuring a summer breeze for diners out on its upper level balcony.
The restaurant takes over a substantial 10,763 square feet across two floors, and recent permits filed by Sugar Factory allocated $2,570,140 in estimated construction costs alone. The overhaul will create a maximum occupancy of 528 inside.
Smaller than the brand’s 12,500-square-foot flagship restaurant and Chocolate Lounge at the Fashion Show mall, the Harmon Corner location sits next to another family friendly outpost, Rainforest Café and sits a short walk from Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
At its December 2011 launch at the Paris Las Vegas resort, invited guests included Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Holly Madison, and Spice Girl Mel B. The Paris location and a Sugar Factory American Brasserie expansion to Town Square both shuttered in 2015.
Details of the retail and dining component of the new Strip project have yet to be announced.
