Of all the moves on college football’s coaching carousel thus far, Brian’s Kelly’s decision to leave Notre Dame for LSU has probably been the most surprising.
Kelly certainly will be well-compensated in his new job, and LSU has a proven track record of winning and competing for national championships.
What many wonder, however, is what kind of fit Kelley will be in Baton Rouge given that he has spent his entire coaching career in the Midwest.
Someone who isn’t wondering about that is SEC analyst Cole Cubelic, who said said Wednesday that the concept of fit when it comes to college football is highly overrated.
“You now what fits? Winning,” said Cubelic during a SiriusXM radio interview. “Winning fits … That’s it. If you win, you’re going to fit. And if you don’t, you can grow out of those clothes very, very quickly. See Dan Mullen at Florida.”
Brian Kelly arrived in Baton Rouge and had his introductory press conference for @LSUfootball on Wednesday afternoon

Added Cubelic: “So everyone wants to get caught up with with is (Kelly) a fit. I don’t give a damn. If he wins, no LSU fan is going to give a damn either.”
