bontereng.blogspot.com

Beats currently has some of the best wireless headphones available in 2021, and among its lineup, the Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro stand out as two of the best options. The market for wireless earbuds & headphones is insanely competitive right now. There are more models than ever before, the options that are available are quickly getting better, and prices are constantly competitive. Having so many choices is great, but at the same time, it can be very easy to feel overwhelmed by everything that's out there.

One particular audio brand that's caught our eye as of late is Beats. Founded in 2006 and then purchased by Apple in 2014, Beats has been a big player in the audio world for a few years now. Within the last couple of years, however, the company's released some of its best earbuds yet. The Powerbeats Pro debuted in 2019 as the Beats' ultimate workout earbuds. They have an iconic design, powerful features, and a high price tag to match. In November 2021, the Beats Fit Pro launched as a more affordable and compact alternative. Can't decide which of the two is right for you? Here's a closer look at what they bring to the table.

More than anything, design is the biggest differentiator between the Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro. The former features a more traditional earbud design with small built-in wingtips. The wingtips are highly flexible and designed to fit well in virtually any ear. For the most part, they're a success. They don't offer the exact same level of security as the Powerbeats Pro, but the Fit Pro are comfy to wear, easy to use, and strike a good balance of providing a secure fit while causing minimal irritation. Then there are the Powerbeats Pro. The Powerbeats Pro are considerably larger than the Fit Pro, but they also have a much bigger hook that goes around the entire outside of someone's ear. It's a form factor that some athletes swear by as being the best for intense workouts. That said, it also makes the Powerbeats Pro quite bulky. The earbuds measure 5.6cm high and weigh 20.3g, compared to 1.9cm and 5.6g on the Beats Fit Pro. That difference in size is also seen with the charging case. Powerbeats Pro's case is 7.7cm high, whereas the Fit Pro case is just 2.85cm.

Beats Fit Pro Vs. Powerbeats Pro Features & Battery

Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro earbuds

Despite being smaller than the Powerbeats Pro, the Beats Fit Pro come with a few features not found on Beats' larger earbuds. This includes active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and Adaptive EQ. Also, while both earbuds support spatial audio in Apple Music, only the Beats Fit Pro can use spatial audio with dynamic head tracking. When it comes to other smart features, the Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro are more evenly matched. Since both earbuds use Apple's H1 chip, they have all of the same functionality when paired with an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. This includes one-touch pairing, automatic device switching, audio sharing, hands-free Siri voice commands, and Find My tracking. Both the Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro also pair with the Beats Android app, offering similar functionality when used on an Android device.

Regarding battery life, this is an area where the Powerbeats Pro get a slight edge over the Fit Pro. Beats rates the Powerbeats Pro for up to 9 hours of continuous listening and more than 24 hours of total battery life with the case. The Fit Pro are promised similar 24-hour total endurance, but they only last for up to 6 hours of continuous listening. The Powerbeats Pro also have the charging advantage — delivering 1.5 hours of listening time after 5 minutes of charging, compared to 1 hour with the Fit Pro. When it comes time to refuel the case itself, the Powerbeats Pro use a Lightning port while the Fit Pro have USB-C.

Adding all of this together, our first recommendation has to be the Beats Fit Pro. Compared to the Powerbeats Pro, the Fit Pro are smaller, have a more pocketable case, and include a few important features not found on the Powerbeats Pro at all. There's also the matter of price. The Beats Fit Pro retail for $199, while the Powerbeats Pro have an MSRP of $249. The older age of the Powerbeats Pro means they're often on sale for $199 or less, but even when that's the case, the Beats Fit Pro are still the better purchase. Unless someone needs the ear-hook design or longer continuous battery life, the Fit Pro are the better all-around earbuds.
