Arsenal injury news: Thomas Partey fit for Liverpool clash - The Athletic

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is fit and available for his side’s trip to Liverpool on Saturday.

The 28-year-old missed Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Watford before the international break, and subsequently did not join up with the Ghana squad.

Partey had previously been a fixture in Mikel Arteta’s team, starting the last six Premier League matches.

There is also good news on Granit Xhaka’s recovery from the knee injury he sustained in September. The Switzerland international is back running outside and Arsenal say he aims to return to full training in January.

Sead Kolasinac, however, suffered a “significant” left ankle injury while playing for Bosnia and Herzegovina during the international period. Kolasinac was on the end of a strong challenge from Finland’s Jukka Raitala, which saw him shown a red card, and will be assessed.

Liverpool have their own injury worries ahead of the match, with left-back Andy Robertson rated “50-50” for the clash. Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, Joe Gomez, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones are all out, but Jordan Henderson is “hopeful” of being fit.
