It’s become incredibly easy to see why Taylor Hall, desperate for his first positive bounce since a Hart Trophy win in 2018, strong-armed his way to Boston via his no-movement clause last Sunday night.
After going from Jersey to Arizona and then Buffalo, and with two just trips to the postseason in a career that began 11 years ago, the 29-year-old Hall was by all means desperate for normalcy. And Boston’s locker room, led by Patrice Bergeron and with support from Brad Marchand and David Krejci — all players who learned under Zdeno Chara — provides that. That’s the worst kept secret around the league, too. Ask any player on any team about the B’s and one of the first things they’ll bring up will be the togetherness of the Bruins’ locker room, and how that’s a huge part of their success.
And through two games, and after a 4-1 win over the Islanders on Thursday night, it’s not lost on Hall.
“There’s something different about playing for an Original Six franchise like the Bruins,” Hall acknowledged. “There’s a culture here that is special. And it’s a credit to the guys that have been here for a while that have created that.”
For Hall, it helps that he’s found some immediate success.
