Lynn has experience pitching for new Sox manager Tony La Russa. Lynn was a rookie in 2011, La Russa’s final season managing the St. Louis Cardinals, and went 1-1 with a 3.12 ERA in 18 outings (two starts). Lynn made 10 relief appearances that postseason, and went 2-0 with a 3.27 ERA in 11 innings. He was the winning pitcher in Game 3 of the World Series against the Texas Rangers, allowing one run in 2⅓ relief innings. Lynn reunites with La Russa, looking for another successful postseason run.
