CLEVELAND, Ohio - National Cheesecake Day is Thursday, July 30, and The Cheesecake Factory is celebrating by helping the less fortunate.
The restaurant company has donated $1 to Feeding America for every slice sold on the day from any of its 30 flavors. But this year The Cheesecake Factory is adding a new flavor - Chocolate Caramelicious - while giving more to the non-profit's network of food banks.
For every Chocolate Caramelicious slice sold for a year beginning July 30, The Cheesecake Factory will donate an additional 25 cents to the hunger-relief organization.
That's good to know. You should also note the decadent indulgence of the new flavor, which swirls Snickers through its original cheesecake on a brownie crust with chocolate, caramel and peanuts: It weighs in at 1,410 calories per slice.
Northeast Ohio has two Cheesecake Factory locations - 24265 Cedar Road in Legacy Village in Lyndhurst and 148 Crocker Park Blvd., in Crocker Park in Westlake.
