The English city of Liverpool is famed for a few things: The Beatles, its soccer teams and its maritime heritage among them.
What it’s not known for though, is its contemporary architecture, which makes this particular modern home that looks like it’s been plucked straight from the Hollywood Hills a standout.
Known as Villa d’Este, the four-bedroom home, which is asking £2.75 million (US$3.38 million), is “set in one of the most sought-after locations in the North West,” said listing agent Jamie Bradshaw, of Savills in Chester, which brought the home to the market earlier this month.
It stands on the outskirts of the city in the affluent suburb of Formby, an enclave that’s home to a number of current and former Liverpool F.C. and Everton F.C. players, and even The Reds manager Jürgen Klopp.
It’s “an outstanding property and a real one off,” Mr. Bradshaw said. “The layout and flow of the home are aspects I really like, and the leisure facilities on offer are nothing short of excellent.”
Recently completed, the sleek single-story house is tucked away privately behind gates, trees and hedges.
The U-shaped property wraps around a heated pool and is entered into an open-plan living, dining and kitchen with a double-sided limestone fireplace, underfloor heating, recessed lighting and glass shelving.
There’s also a gym and a home theater fitted with a speaker system and a projector screen.
The main bedroom suite has an en-suite bathroom, a dressing room and views over the pool and garden. The remaining three bedrooms, meanwhile—located on the other side of the house—have en-suite bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes.
Mansion Global couldn’t determine who is selling the home, or how much they acquired the property for.
