The Minnesota Vikings will be running a new system on both offense and defense in 2022. Which players aren’t great fits?
The 2022 NFL Draft is over and the Minnesota Vikings have their 90-man roster intact. The rookies were in last weekend for their first taste of the new coaching staff and the Vikings are currently in the midst of their first OTAs under new head coach Kevin O’Connell.
There is definitely plenty of excitement and optimism as this new-look team comes together. While plenty of players are going to get new opportunities to shine in the new offensive and defensive systems employed by the new staff, some players may not be as excited.
There are some current Vikings who just aren’t great fits schematically for what this new regime is wanting to do. Maybe they don’t have the size or athletic ability to excel in a new role, and maybe their current role on the team just doesn’t exist within the walls of the Kevin O’Connell and Ed Donatell systems.
Who are a few players that just may not be great fits with what Minnesota’s new coaches are looking to do this season.
