Toyota Music Factory in Irving is hosting free live concerts through the summer - The Dallas Morning News

The Texas Lottery Plaza at the Toyota Music Factory is hosting free live concerts now through the end of the summer.

For years Irving wasn’t exactly known for having a dynamic concert scene, but that changed with the arrival of the Music Factory in late 2017. Keen to ingratiate itself into the community and entice more regular visitors, the mixed-use development soon rolled out a regular Thursday concert series.

But unlike before, this year’s Texas Lottery Live concerts won’t charge admission, freeing attendees to open their wallets at the surrounding restaurants and bars.

This season kicked off March 3 with Retrophonics and continues this Thursday with the Mescaline Americans. The concerts start at 8 p.m. Thursdays and are set to continue into the summer.

Here’s the confirmed slate of upcoming Texas Lottery Live concerts over the next few weeks:

• March 12: Mescaline Americans
• March 19: Mitchell Ferguson
• March 26: Dylan Shelly
• April 2: Danni & Kris
• April 9: Topanga
• April 16: Raised Right Men

Beyond the Thursday concerts, the Music Factory is also hosting free Party on the Plaza events featuring DJs and live bands on the weekends.

• March 13: DJ GNGR
• March 14: Celestial Clockwork
• March 20: DJ B
• March 21: Tree Marie
• March 27: DJ GNGR
• March 28: BJ Stricker

Those interested in attending can RSVP in advance for a chance to win VIP upgrades, gift certificates and more. From that site, you can also buy tickets for other events at the Music Factory.

Due to concerns about the new coronavirus, many venues and event sponsors across D-FW are evaluating their health and safety guidelines.
